Overall Purpose
• Responsible for providing strategic and technical design advice in the development and delivery of projects, ensuring the design service requirements of the project are of a level and quality that meet stakeholder expectations.
• Consulting with the Client to establish the scope of design management services and the composition of the design management team.
• Providing input or preparing terms of reference (scope of work) for system vendor contracts.
• Conducting design reviews, technical reviews as well as quality assurance reviews of design document submissions.
• Leading the design team in conducting design gate review with clients and other stakeholder.
Principal Job Responsibilities
• Managing co-ordination of the partners and working groups engaged in project work. Review and proofread incoming correspondences and reports; makes preliminary assessment of importance of materials & organizes documents to be forwarded to the Sales Team.
• Prepare & submit NDA/ EOI/BOQ/ PQ Documents/ Tenders as per the tender requirements and sales Manager approval.
• Acknowledge and follow up on the RFQ received, Create Job Code for Project, Product and Maintenance Jobs and update the internal stake holders.
• Coordinate Internally with Sales, Proposal, Finance, Project, Engineering & TAC Dept to collect the required documents for tender submission.
Quality Control Responsibilities
• Coordinates with the Quality Assurance Manager to ensure that Quality Control is maintained in all Engineering Deliverables and technical elements of Site Works.
HSE Responsibilities
• Shall comply with instructions relating to safety at the place of work; adhere to suitable means of protection against injuries, occupational diseases, fire and other hazards which may result from the use of machinery and other equipment and ensure that he / she comply with personal protective equipment requirements.
• Follow mandatory requirements for reporting of incidents / accidents and near misses.
Participation in risk assessments and complying with legal and other requirements.
Required Competencies
• Pre-Sales/Solutions Manager with 5-7yrs of experience in Design, Technical, Estimation, proposals, Pre-sales for Oil&Gas projects in ICT/Networking solutions like Data Centre, Cyber Security, IoT, Cloud, Collaboration & Unified Communication, Wireless, Networking, Cisco, HP, Communication systems, Data Centers, Control Systems, System Integrators etc. Selection of products, Preparation of Tender, BOQ & Pricing essential.
• Techno-Commercial answers for tenders RFQ’ s/RFPs in different technologies.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills and contacts with suppliers, consultants, and contractor’s mandatory.
• Planned Pre-sales strategies & proposal positioning in contrast to the competitors and demonstration of business prospect.
