3W Networks to deliver the Telecommunication and Security System of Liwa Plastics Industries Complex Package 3 in Oman

Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Company (ORPIC), one of Oman’s largest companies and most rapidly growing business in the Middle East oil industry, awarded 3W Networks the delivery of the Telecommunication System for Liwa Plastics Industries Complex (LPIC) Package 3 (Fahud NGL Extraction Unit with Off-Site Works Utilities Project).

The LPIC project is a construction of $6.4bn petrochemical complex at Liwa, located 20km from Sohar in Oman. The feedstock of this mega project will be a combination of natural gas liquids (NGLs), liquid petroleum gas (LPG) from the Sohar refinery and aromatics plant, dry gas from the Sohar refinery, and condensates from Oman LNG. The project is developed in four parts: Phase 1- Steam Cracker and Associated Utilities; Phase 2- Polyethylene and Polypropylene Units with Off-Site Works and Utilities; Phase 3- Fahud NGL Extraction Unit with Off-Site Works Utilities; Phase 4- 300km NGL Pipeline from the Fahud NGL station to Sohar Industrial Port.

3W Networks will deliver the most advanced Telecommunication and Security Systems for NGL Extraction Unit at Fahud which includes Telephone System, Hotline System, SDH System, LAN System, Plant Communication System, CCTV System, Access Control System and Perimeter Intrusion Detection System. The scope of work includes project design, engineering, integration and factory testing.
