WWW.NETWORKS wins telecom scope of TAKREER Inter Refineries Pipeline Project

DODSAL Pte Limited, an engineering, procurement and construction multinational with its corporate headquarters in Dubai, UAE has selected WWW.NETWORKS as the telecommunications sub-contractor for the Inter Refineries Pipeline Project (IRRP) in Abu Dhabi.

The IRRP is a pipeline project linking the Abu Dhabi refinery to the Ruwais Refinery which will optimise the inter-refineries operations between the two refineries and will eliminate shipment of oil products by sea. It will also address the increased product requirements at Abu Dhabi International Airport and Al Ain.

The project completion is expected by first quarter 2007 and the scope of work includes state-of-art instrumentation and control, telecom, supervisory control systems, storage facilities and pipelines that will be in line with the best available technology in the world.

The communication system awarded to WWW.NETWORKS involves the Design, Engineering, Supply, System Integration, Installation and Commissioning of GE Multilin SDH equipment and Cisco Call Manager providing Voice Over IP. The communication system will be used to transmit SCADA and voice signals for pipe line control.

The GE TN1U STM-1/4 SDH equipment will carry the voice over IP traffic over an Ethernet interface in both point to point and point to multipoint configurations. A Cesium based synchronization clock will ensure that timing is maintained at an extremely accurate level.
