Job Title ELV- Security Systems Engineer
Location SIDCO, Industrial Estate, Guindy, Chennai.
Reporting to Engineering Manager
Overall Purpose :
• Work as System Design Authority (SDA) for allocated systems to maintain consistency and compliance with requirements
• Determine system Requirements by studying project technical specifications and provides the technical expertise during the project lifecycle.
• Develops and interprets Technical Scope by reviewing project specifications, Tender Documents, and site project requirements
• Provides technical Support to the Project technical team during meetings and client visits.
• Provides technical change control management for contract variations during project execution
• Responsible for the overall technical scope of the system, including support for selection of suppliers, integration of the overall system solution and support for technical issues during Site Commissioning and Hand-Over.
• Provide In-House Engineering Design to ensure compliance with the Project Schedule.
Principal Job Responsibilities:
• Assure the accuracy of Engineering milestones which are integral to the project schedule
• Inter-discipline coordination and overall quality control of the technical work.
• Evaluate design changes and modifications providing project impact assessments.
• Prepare the engineering deliverables “base design and detailed design.
• Support in managing suppliers to ensure all technical deliverables are delivered within the technical scope of the project.
• Prepare internal Purchase requests in coordination with Engineering, Procurement and Project manager.
• Providing Technical presentations for internal and external requirements.
• Ensuring that project filing systems are maintained accurately in line with company requirements.
• Interface with warehouse staff to ensure that received materials is technically compliant with specification.
• Proactively works with the integration function to maintain project design compliance.
• Monitors and remote support when required to the following:
Configuration, Pre-FAT, FAT, Pre-commissioning, commissioning, Pre-SAT, SAT testes of systems ensuring that punch items are cleared and re-inspected, maintenance and warranty support.
• Frequent travel globally may be required as per projects requirement.
Quality Control Responsibilities
• Coordinates with the Quality Assurance Manager to ensure that Quality Control is maintained in all Engineering Deliverables and technical elements of Site Works.
Required Skills:
• Bachelor University degree in procurement, supply chain management, logistics or similar degree.
• Should have knowledge of basic concepts related to supply chain, Purchasing, procurement, solutions, logistics, and contracts.
• Resourceful, self-driven, proactive and independent worker
• Hardworking and meticulous with a positive attitude
• Must possess excellent computer skills (Microsoft applications Excel, Word, PPT, etc.)
• Detail-oriented and able to multi-task in high energy and fast-paced environment with critical and tight schedules
• Good team player and Any other related tasks as required
• Initially, the position will be for 3-6 Months contract and the possibility to go full time based on candidate performance.
• Should be on Father/Spouse/Student Visa and we will not provide an employment visa during the contract period.
Quality Control Responsibilities
• Coordinates with the Quality Assurance Manager to ensure that Quality Control is maintained in all Engineering Deliverables and technical elements of Site Works.
Required Competencies
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent
• Experience: Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in detailed engineering design and documentation for Oil & Gas projects
• Minimum 4 years of experience with System Integrators, that specializes in Security System preferably for Oil& Gas projects.
• With solid background in the preparation of engineering documents and drawings such as but not limited to Bill of Materials, Datasheets, Functional Design Specifications, Block Diagram, Wiring Diagram, Dimensional Mounting Details among others, during detailed engineering stage of various projects.
• Knowledgeable on Ingress protection and Hazardous area classification.
• Hand on experience in installation, configuration, testing, trouble shooting and commissioning of Security systems including CCTV, Automatic Access Control, IDS, PIDS, Physical security devices, Video Management Systems, Command and Control Systems.
• Should have experience in the preparation of Coverage Study using any of these software’s JVSG, VIDEOCAD etc.
• Skills: Management skills, Excellent Communications Skills & Proficient in MS office Applications.
• Knowledge of project scheduling techniques and understands Critical
