3W Networks to implement Telecommunication Systems for DEWA 132/11 KV Substations at DWTN and JABL area.

The region’s premier System Integrator, 3W Networks, was awarded to implement the Telecommunication Systems of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) 2 sets of 132/11KV Substations at Downtown and Jebel Ali (DWTN & JABL) area.

Located between Jebel Ali Free Zone and Techno Park, Downtown Jebel Ali will cover more than 6.5 million sqm area spread over four zones with a Dubai Metro station and internal people mover system. Each zone will have three distinct districts: the Urban Centres, a business and entertainment hub; the Trellis District with midrise buildings, parks & plazas; and the Medina, the Arabian inspired courtyards and cobbled streets.

3W Networks will integrate first-rate Optical Transmission equipment from leading manufacturers to provide a powerful telecommunication network in the substations by using advanced Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) Optical Line Terminal Equipment, Plesiochronous Digital Hierarchy (PDH), PABX System and Network Management System.

The scope of work called for the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the Telecommunication systems. A Factory Acceptance Test will be conducted at 3W Networks State of the Art Integration facilities in Dubai Silicon Oasis prior to installation at the DEWA substations.
